Welcom to Silver Sunday No. 1

Sweet Silver Succulent Gardens!

Hello everyone...I hope this 3rd day of the new year finds you filled with hope and promise for a glorious new year!  Now it's time to don your sumptious silver and get the party started.

I thought since the new year signifies renewal and growth that I would share my collection of vintage discarded and tarnished silver, repurposed into a garden of luscious succulents.

I feel like a pirate when I find a bounty of old silver at the flea market...I pile it up, stack it in my cart and clink and clank all the way home....arrrgh matey!

We also, won't mention the fact that I have a very black thumb. Wlell, since I did mention it, I'll let you know in case you suffer from a similar affliction, that succulents rock!  Easy to take care of and barely need to be watered.....just a bit of sunshine, dirt and tarnished silver and voila! silver succulent garden!
Can't wait to see everyones' silver treasures!
Thank you all for participating in Silver Sunday! and for checking out my stash..be sure to check in with all the Silver Sunday Sistas on the list and lets start the new year off with a bang bling!

....and the move is on~

Just a short post to share the studio progress...now that I'm on winter break I can finally begin the moving , or should I say, shuffling.  So I am closing my brick and mortar shop, moving my studio and etys/web site "headquarters" to the 3rd floor of my house and going a bit mad trying to coordinate this....I don't know if I should hatch a chicken or lay an egg....which one comes first? Wait I'm not even a chicken....

I think I have just about everything I'm keeping from the shop moved upstairs but I still have this much more in the old studio....

My studio pets are looking bit confused as they watch me spin and move and scratch my head.
oh boy.....
I think it's time for a giant glass of yummy red wine and a break.
Thanks for peaking in......

Here's the key...make a list it really works.......

When I realized the date today I almost fainted! ONLY 10 days left,...I'm just not ready! So I sat down and made my own list tonight....no, not a naughty or nice list but a BIG FAT GINORMOUS "to do" list.  Hmmm...although it's a whole page long maybe, it's not so bad when you break it down. Of course I added strange things like, have salad for lunch tomorrow, dump the old potatos that are growing things in the cabinet, put away my laundry, put a turkey breast in the crock pot at 8am, make another list for Christmas Eve dinner.....do you believe I have to make a list for that stuff? I do! but when I simply  throw away the old potatos instead of thinking about throwing them away everytime I open the cabinet,  I get to scratch it off the list and that feels really good. So to all my harried and busy friends...just make a list and be sure to put some really dumb easy things on it....the list fairy will be very proud of you as you scribble off,one by one, each and every little thing. Then, before you know it....you'll be finished and enjoying a BIG, FAT, GINORMOUS glass of red wine on Christmas eve!...I'm off to toss out potatos!

PS Happy Holidays to all my blogger friends,Check out my etsy shop and  please enjoy free shipping until Dec. 20th on anything under $20 if you mention my blog in a convo when you buy..Merry Christmas and thanks for reading the ramblings from my head.......

First Coat of Paint....

After tearing up the rug from the floor and with a little resistance from the man we tore up the rug from the steps as well...ughh ,why, why do they think they know better?Well we entered the second phase of our "redo".

First coat is done second coat is today!!!!  I picked a slightly grey, lavender called
Cloudy Dream (Benjamin Moore, only Benjamin Moore) So here's the result....of just one coat.

I never realized how incredibly bright and sunny that room is....I can't wait to start creating up there. Thanks for taking a peek and letting me share this fun adventure with you.
